Financial Paraplanner Intern
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Financial Paraplanner Intern based in Fargo, ND.
The Financial Paraplanner Intern will support financial planners directly in serving existing and potential clients. You are expected to perform various tasks, including portfolio reviews and preparing financial projections using financial planning software. You must have the ability to use critical-thinking skills, work within a team, and anticipate firm needs and client questions. Qualified candidates are detail-oriented, structured and have a high degree of follow-through.
Responsibilities & Activities
Work directly with Financial Planners prior to client meetings to finalize meeting prep and research client service or planning issues Work on tasks post-meeting to implement any action items and follow up research and/or communication regarding post-meeting action steps. Communicate directly with clients via phone and/or email. Collaborate with Financial Planners to manage and facilitate client planning.
Technology Tools
- Run and review tax analysis software for clients.
- Work directly with Financial Planners to help facilitate portfolio management and portfolio trading.
- Identify and communicate ways in which the client planning and/or investment management process can be improved for efficiency purposes.
- Initiate and participate in client projects and initiatives, with the always goal of
- improving processes and the client experience.
- Research financial planning and investment management topics, including necessary outreach to allied professionals, custodians, and professional vendors
Qualifications
- Be fluent in and adaptable to current technology
- Possess effective problem-solving skills
- Must like working with finance
- Be able to clearly communicate through written and verbal means
- Dedicated to helping others and being a team player
- Driven to work hard on behalf of our clients
- Certified Financial Planner designation preferable, but not required
